If you read "proven talent" in my post, you definitely read it wrong. I was pretty clear that we should look for unproven talent since the proven talent doesn't seem to fit our price range.

Darvish will be a Cub or an Astro, I have a very strong feeling. The price is going to fall and Chicago will swoop for <25MM a year, which was probably their plan all along with the insurance arms they've stockpiled behind the marquee signing. Or the Astros will do the same and try to cement the dynasty with the leftover tanking money.
