That commentary is purely delicious. I almost enjoyed more than the play.

So Sam Smith and I were hanging around at lunch together naked, and I asked him point blank: Can the Bulls win it all? He kind of answered in a way that at this point he just can't say for sure anything this team can't do.

Seriously. Sam works out at the same exercise place I do, and I went in at lunch today and low and behold there is Sam Smith in his b-day suit. Of course I had to talk to him, and remind him that I was his kids baseball coach which helped. Slightly awkward, but when you get the chance to talk to Sam one on one about the Bulls, you take it.

When a grizzled NBA observer, soaked in the skepticism of years covering the league, says something that optimistic you know they're a damn good team.

Huge blow for New Orleans to lose David West for the season. It helps to have Carl Landry there and ready to go, but this really sucks for a team hoping to make the playoffs, and for West who was set to become a free agent.

NBA Sacramento Kings: Does a Move to Anaheim Really Make Sense?

Why don't the Clippers just move to Anaheim? I know the Kings suck, but I spent a lot of time in Sacramento about 10 years ago, and given a decent team, it was a bball hotbed for such a small market.

Did he pitch any crazy trade proposals?

I'm getting a little cocky about the Bulls. Down 12 (got up to 15) in the 3rd, I told my brother the Bulls would take the lead in the last 6 minutes and win. Sho nuff.

Rose. Man. What a winner.
