That's quite a task to do without opposable thumbs.

All that staff at Castel Gandolfo now await is the arrival of Pope Benedict XVI, who will fly to the castle on Thursday evening after he formally steps down as head of the Catholic Church.

He will live in Castel Gandolfo for two months, giving workmen and renovators time to prepare a former nunnery in the grounds of the Vatican where he is expected to live out the rest of his life with his housekeepers, his private secretary, and his beloved cats.

When he became pope, it was announced that cats were not allowed in the papal apartment, and that this cat:

was sent back to Germany to be taken care of by friends. I never heard that Chico died, so maybe he will get to live with Pope Benedict now.

"What? You mean my cats can't live with me. Screw that pope thing!!!!"

I also feel bad for Mark Buehrle who is not moving his family to Canada because one of their dogs is banned.
