I honestly don't know much about either of these guys. What are some decent comps?

I’m sure the additional trade was a little extra for Edmonton not matching.

I don’t know enough about any prospects for comps, but what I’ve read indicates broberg still has legit top4 d potential, and has just been blocked in Edmonton. He had a nice playoffs taking over the second pairing spot from cece for a bit, though some of the advanced stats give pause… but also take into account he was playing his off side in those games.

I have to think he wants an opportunity, and I’m sure th blues said he would have a shot at top 4 minutes.

He’s waaaaaay overpaid, but if he wasn’t then Edmonton would have just matched. The hope is he grows into that salary when the deal is done… right when the blues are ready to start thinking about being serious contenders. (Or maybe a year early)

I do wonder how the logjam gets sorted. Something there has to give eventually.

Of course, being a 1st round pick doesn't guarantee future success. But I LOVE to see this!!!

lol from Army’s presser…
This is a tool that I think everyone uses & should use. I think it was reported that I wouldn't have done this to Kenny Holland. That's the furthest thing from the truth. Quite honestly, I'd do it to my mother if she was managing the Oilers."

Broberg has a lot of characteristics similar to Jay Bouwmeester. Tall lanky defenseman with great skating ability. I doubt he will end up as agood as Bouwmeester, but that's a comparable playstyle.

I haven't heard a lot about Holloway.
