Back home now (had to take the wife to work) so here is, I think, the rotation for the remaining ten games:

Tonight: Lohse at Philly (6 days' rest)
Tuesday 9/20: Jackson vs. Mets (5 days' rest)
Wednesday 9/21: Garcia vs. Mets (4 days' rest)
Thursday 9/22: Westbrook vs. Mets (4 days' rest)
Friday 9/23: Carpenter vs. Cubs (4 days' rest)
Saturday 9/24: Lohse vs. Cubs (4 days' rest)
Sunday 9/25: Jackson vs. Cubs (4 days' rest)
Monday 9/26: Garcia at Houston (4 days' rest)
Tuesday 9/27: Westbrook at Houston (4 days' rest)
Wednesday 9/28: Carpenter at Houston (4 days' rest)

Thursday 9/29: Lohse (4 days' rest) or Jackson (3 days' rest) vs. Atlanta (wild card tiebreaker game if necessary)

Saturday 10/1: Jackson (5 days' rest) or Garcia (4 days' rest) at Philly (NLDS Game One)

The Gods have smiled on us a bit with that schedule.

That loss to Pittsburgh still bothers me.

Still close to impossible.
It is not probable but I don't think its close to impossible. We've gone 9-2, so we keep playing at that pace and 9-1 or 8-2 is not out of the question. Atlanta is 4-7 during the same stretch, that's equivalent to 3-6 the rest of the way. I think that is within the realm of possibility.

But I'm not putting money on it.
I'm with you. Probably just semantics. I'm invested and interested. But even the worst teams win 40% of the time. Heck, going 7-3 over that stretch would be considered excellent at any other time, and that's probably not enough.

Braves play a couple of crappy teams and then finish off the season with 3 games against the Phils. Fortunately Manuel said that it's only fair to baseball that he puts out a solid team against contenders, so I wouldn't expect a AAA team against the Braves.

Braves:
@FLA 3 games
day off
@WAS 3 games
PHL 3 games

Giants:
day off
@LA 3 games
@ARI 3 games
COL 3 games

Game 1 against the Dodgers is Lincecum vs. Kershaw, should be a good game to watch.

I'm not concerned about the lineup he throws out there. The starting pitchers they'll face will be suspect.

I'm going to guess they don't see Lee or Halladay, but that still leaves Worley, Oswalt and Hamels which are all very solid pitchers.

Plus there's a good possibility that the Braves will get to face one of Strasburg, Zimmermann, or hopefully both in Washington. Strasburg should be as difficult as Lee or Halladay, and Zimmermann is definitely no slouch either.
