Just as a warning, in case you wanna see scenes of Omaha, the movie starts with her arriving at the Oakland airport. ;)

Couldn't possibly envision that title being turned into a porn flick.

-Carrie
I caught Carrie earlier this week. And I hated it. Couldn't stand it. I just don't like Brian DePalma, and I've tried.

Agree on both counts.

Just watched Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes. hadn't seen it since I was a teenager and I liked it a lot more than I did back then. Not quite the nail-biter that some of Hitch's films are but great dialog and really great to look at. ****1/2

I watched American Beauty last night for the second time; I hadn't seen it since I was probably 13 or 14 years old.

Really enjoyable!

If by "outstanding", you mean "disgustingly full of menstrual blood in a way that made me want to puke", then yes... you're spot-on.

Richie, mostly I'm just sick of watching DePalma rip off Hitchcock. It's obnoxious.

i saw that one movie, the one we were talking about, with the guy in it, from that other movie? he's in everything, you know? he was in that tv show, or if not, it was a guy that looked just like him. That girl was in it, who usually plays like a doctor or a cop, or sometimes she's a hooker, or pretending to be? She was also in that show, the one where something always happens, and then it goes from there? She was hotter before but she can still act. Wasn't she was a lawyer in that John Grisham movie? That wasn't her? Well anyway, the movie with the guy? it wasn't even worth renting, I'd avoid that one and see that other one you were going to get anyway, right?
