Fangraphs seems to concede that Harper is better, but then they show how Trout is having a better year.
Mike Trout may be a year older than Bryce Harper — and he may have slightly more experience in the big leagues — but what he’s doing at 20 years old is almost equally as impressive. If anyone is going to challenge Harper for the title of the game’s best player five years from now, it’s almost certainly going to be Trout.
That's a great catch and all, the timing of the leap is impeccable, but I think it looks better than it does because the fence is short in that area of the park.
I hope he's an All Star this year. I'd like to see Harper there, too, but Trout is certainly deserving. He'll very well be in the MVP race at the end of the season if he continues anything close to what he's already doing.

Harper is hitting .281/.358/.483; there's probably a dozen OF's in the NL alone that are more deserving.
Trout, on the other hand, is the best OF in the AL right now.
