Re: 2016-2017 Blues (Hockey) Season
I admit, I know less than anyone ANYONE! about hockey strategy, but I'm confused by a couple of things.
To me, it seems that most teams can either dump it in or just take it into the zone and depending what the defense is, have a decent chance of getting to the puck. I haven't seen that from the Blues in a couple of years. It seems like they work their tails off just to get to mid ice, maybe dump in and it gets kicked right back out of the zone. I don't know why we have so much trouble with that. Are we slower? Probably, due to the fact that we are bigger than most teams. I realize that Minnesota is Way faster than us. But it isn't just these games. As a casual fan, it is frustrating. It seems like other teams can keep up 5 on 5 pressure for twenty seconds and we are lucky to get five. Someone needs to explain how we ever win with this way of playing. I realize our defense is good, and Allen is doing great...maybe that is just the way it is.

We're gonna sweep. Also, I see rally boobs got the same seats behind the wild bench.

Ryan White doesn't button up his chinstrap, Edmundson hits him shoulder to shoulder, gets a penalty. White's helmet has come off two or three times today. Stupid.

I'm not a hockey fan and prefer them to win or lose as quickly as possible so as not to inconvenience me. It seems like the stars are aligned for another long run, though.JCShutout wrote:Whoa, slow down. The Blues won two close games. A couple of bounces (or Jake Allen realizes he's mortal) and the Wild are up 2-0. Lets take it one round... heck, one game at a time. Gotta win at least one of these two at home to keep the pressure on.Farewell Friends wrote:The Blues are going to advance to the WCF again. Do the 2nd round games air on FSMW or NBC?

It is nice to be thoroughly outplayed, and be up 3-0. Hell, the Blues haven't even trailed yet in this series.
Allen continuing to mix good play and good fortune. He started to get a bit loose in the second, but luckily it didn't bite him.

Jeremy roenick...Lol. really wanted goalie interference or to at least know why it was not interference. Idk the rules but seems like if the goalie is 100 percent outside the crease they don't get protected, no?
