So the best thing about Chicago in the summertime is being in the United Center? Gotcha.Jocephus wrote:David (Michigan)
Good Afternoon Mike, is anything better than Chicago in the Summer?! I know the draft is boring, however, kudos to Chicago for creating an amazing family friendly atmosphere.

Quick story: So each of the last few summers I'm in Chicago for a weekend or a few days and I get a text from Charles Wade Barkley and it always says the same thing: "You here?" and I know exactly what he's talking about. It's a sunny perfect day in the 80s and Charles just hops on a plane and flies to Chicago to hang out...The first time this happened, I asked Chuck, "What are you doing here?" and he said, "Chicago is the greatest summertime city in America!" And millions of us agree...Winter is awful and lasts forever and we don't have spring, but I'm even looking forward to going to Chicago this weekend for the Friday/Sunday Bulls-Cavs games AND the Blackhawks Game 5 (I presume there will be one) Saturday against Minnesota...
You forgot to mention the rain. Yeah, yesterday sucked.Dillagii wrote:Chicago weather is 43!! I mean come on!! This shud definitely bring Jim back!!
Seriously Chicago what the hell. It's summer!!
Try living an hour north of that, right on Lake Ontario. We average roughly double what Syracuse gets each year in terms of snowfall.Joe Shlabotnik wrote:I remember when I was a senior in HS we went to NY State HS Track Championship near Syracuse. It was the first or second week of June.
It snowed on our way and then warmed up for a windy, pelting rain in the 40's all day long. Of course we were outside the whole time. One of the coldest days of my life.
