that's only 23 outs

It's good value for good value, and the Cardinals can't afford to risk wasting a season like Albert Pujols is having. If it weren't for the two picks, I'd hate the deal, but as stands, it's reasonable.

I thought you're supposed to kill the other's guy's children to establish dominance. Poor Holliday.
Pretty sure it has to involve Albert violating Holliday's wife.

Wonderful! The Braves aren't playing on Fox this weekend! And since we just switched to Dish Network, the TBS and ESPN games will be in HD! Sweet! Depending on other plans, I may have to figure out the fancy DVR we got with it too.

Yeah. Albert will ride in an elevator with Mrs. Holliday.

VEB and Future Redbirds hate it.

The big factor was that Wallace didn't appear to be coming up to help anytime soon - since they had ample opportunity and reason all season long. This trade was the only effective way to get production from him in the foreseeable future.

Short term its great. Long term we'll see.

This trade also makes it look like they plan to commit to De Rosa next year.

It's quite possible that this is a rite of passage for any new teammate.
