After beating the Phillies in the Division Series, the Cardinals took out the Brewers in six games, celebrating a trip to the World Series as Morgan watched from the dugout.

"It's as sweet as it gets," said reliever Mitchell Boggs.

"I'd be lying to you if I said that we weren't thinking about that. It's perfect for us, because we played all the way until game 162 and we didn't say anything. We did our business and that's the way the Cardinals have done it for years, and that's why this organization has had the success it's had. And that's why we're still playing.

"It's never smart to run your mouth like that. Other teams have done it, and it always seems like its pointed at us. And it's because we're a good team and good organization and we win a lot, and people don't like that. They want to take their shots at us when they can, but we're still here and we're still playing."
