If you like Lower Decks, it's awesome. If you don't, it'll be a little strange. As a fan, it was really cool seeing Jack Quaid and Tawny Newsome play their characters non-animated.

Side note, the actor who played the Orion scientist is ALWAYS a creepy bad guy in every role he plays, so it was a fun misdirect for him to turn out to be good.

The crossover episode is really good. They did a great job balancing the two shows together, and it was nicer to see Strange New Worlds play itself straight rather than their characters getting lines with the bad forced humor and letting Jack and Tawny take that role. I was worried their mannerisms from animation would be overdone in live-action but they hit just the right amount of animating and acting their characters without being too goofy. It's pretty much pitch perfect.

I've never seen Lower Decks and I still thought the episode was fantastic. I'm sure I was missing something by not being familiar with the characters but apparently it works well either way.

It's so good. I put off watching it until a few months ago because I'm generally anti-adult animation, but it really gets Star Trek right with an Adult Swim delivery.

This is the best Star Trek in years. Love Strange New Worlds, and Lower decks is awesome. I am a little behind - just watched Charades last night - Mrs. Wart doesn't like sci-fi or Star Trek, but I put my foot down the last few nights and have watched a few.

Ok, so last night's episode might be one of my favorite Trek episodes ever and Dr. Mbenga one of my favorite Trek characters ever. Holy buckets that was great.

Yeah, it was really good. Powerful, painful, serious.

Then this week. Lol.
