RE Winston, I just saw the ND game where his team was beat, and the Oregon game where he almost had a complete meltdown/probably should have benched. With that little I saw, I can't help but wonder what the [expletive] Tampa Bay is thinking?Transmogrified Tiger wrote:You should not. Shane Ray tumbling to the bottom of the first round while Jameis Winston goes #1 with a bullet is the most NFL thing. He is very good.Socnorb11 wrote:Well, my Broncos traded up to draft Shane Ray. What can you guys tell me? I'm a little concerned about his off the field behavior. Should I be?
RE: off field problems. We don't know these kids. I was a broke LMOC with a good family/morals and was no choir boy at that age. Hard to imagine anyone being a choir boy as millionaire college BMOC. NFL teams are investing a lot of cash in them, so I suspect they do their homework.
A part of me wonders if having a rap sheet -albeit a little one, makes a player more attractive to the NFL. NFL likes bad boys they feel like they are getting a bargain. Shane Ray -Denver probably thinks his marijuana and speeding thing just gives them leverage. And marijuana-Colorado ...pffft.
Still, that Winston pick is a head scratcher.
