Re: Former Cardinals Watch
I’m with Tommy on the IR move. Stashing healthy players is cheating. Unclear if it was platform issue, Trout being negligent, or both. The slapping I’m never going to defend, it was stupid.
With tons on money at stake and Tommy being a hard worker and taking it more seriously, I’m not surprised.
The public eating this up is stupid but they should also stop hoping every baseball player is a buttoned up church boy jock. It’s like the people who whine about Flaherty having a thought of his own. Get over all of it. Players aren’t property and don’t have to adhere to some public image everyone deems collectively.
Pham’s best course of action is to just shut up, on this topic at least.

Re: Former Cardinals Watch
you're too biased to pham. stop defending him here. here's a better idea for all, stop idolizing players you don't know at all.
lot of conflict started over someone losing money, on a micro and macro level. odd that you advocate for violent acts to solve problems.

Defending the IR stance only. Not Pham’s actions. Said it in multiple posts. When did I advocate for violence?Jocephus wrote: ↑June 16 22, 10:14 amyou're too biased to pham. stop defending him here. here's a better idea for all, stop idolizing players you don't know at all.

People can like players if they want. Don’t know why it’s your concern.

it's my "concern" in this conversation 'cause it makes you look silly defending the guy.

ok, but you are still worming your way around it to defend him. you basically said "if money's involved, all is fair". because tommy is a "hard worker", you are not surprised he assaulted someone? really? i dont need an answer on that, you're on his side on this. fine. people are allowed to have terrible takes in this country.

Not being surprised = complete defense of someone?? I don't know what takes are wrong to you.Jocephus wrote: ↑June 16 22, 10:21 amok, but you are still worming your way around it to defend him. you basically said "if money's involved, all is fair". because tommy is a "hard worker", you are not surprised he assaulted someone? really? i dont need an answer on that, you're on his side on this. fine. people are allowed to have terrible takes in this country.
Slap = wrong.
IR stashing of healthy players in FF = cheating
Those are my takes. Not being surprised given Pham's history is not a defense of him. And the gambling nature of jacking with someone's money is not surprising. People who are heavily into gambling, like Pham is, documented and all, it wasn't surprising. Given how that world operates. And how he makes much less money than the others in the league.
If you must know, Pham's blind support of police and LE is disappointing to me and has made me like him a little less. And the slapping too. I don't idolize him. But I do like his baseball abilities. And support him on the field.

I wonder if Pham's "pimp slap" mentality caused him to get stabbed in that strip club.
The guy sure is building a nice brand of being a hot headed fool.
