Absolutely @sighyoung. Thanks for posting that! You hear this on the radio / christmas song playlists now like you didn't back in the 70's. (At least I never heard it) I think there is a deeper appreciation of Joni Mitchell now. She just might be remembered longer than most musicians of her generation. And that's saying something.

Lisa Hannigan does a nice version of River with her beautiful and sort of quirky voice.

This semester, I taught a verse biography about the great r & b singer Donny Hathaway.

His daughter Lalah Hathaway has re-recorded his Donny's song "This Christmas" as a duet.

JD McPherson put out a Christmas album a few years ago that has become a staple of our Chistmas season listening. Plus, my brother is all over this album (as I never fail to point out).
