I really like Thornton. I want him to be a Chicago Bull. Not gonna happen though

Re: NBA 10-11
This made me chuckle-
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=a ... hony022211Once, Thomas brought Dolan with him on a comic-strip recruiting mission of Kobe Bryant(notes): Together, they traveled to California armed with an electric offer: Come take the midlevel exception for a chance to play with Stephon Marbury(notes). Somehow, Bryant decided to re-sign a max deal with the Los Angeles Lakers and keep winning championships. Yes, Thomas failed miserably as the Knicks president and coach, and now he’s failing those poor kids at Florida International.

Probably just another piece for them to get the two they want.JunkBondTrader wrote:Also-

Portland is hot for Devin Harris. He is basically Miller lite, and I'm not super crazy about him, but I think he would be good enough (the West is getting thin, and will probably get thinner yet in the next few years), if the team is built well around him, to win with Portland.
I like Miller, but Harris is younger, signed for two more years at a pretty reasonable rate, and this is one of the only ways Portland is going to get a good young point guard.
I'd love to get Morrow from NJ as well.

Hornets trading Marcus Thornton and David Andersen to the Kings for Carl Landry.
Nice addition to the bench for New Orleans. Landry is a lot like David West, with a bit less scoring and a bit better rebounding. Thornton is a pure shooter and that's about it; a good player to have if you can hide his weaknesses and fit him into your system. The Hornets couldn't do either.

Harris is younger and has better scoring potential. He's just having a down year. I think if he were to join a team like Portland with Aldridge and Roy there to support him, he'd have a year like he did a few years ago.MrSaigon wrote:Probably just another piece for them to get the two they want.JunkBondTrader wrote:Also-

Deron Williams is on the verge of being traded to the Nets for Derrick Favors, Devin Harris and two draft picks.
New Jersey also sending Troy Murphy to Golden State for Dan Gadzuric.

This is as good an outcome as Utah could hope for. Deron is clearly done there, Harris is an adequate replacement and Favors still has big upside.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Deron Williams is on the verge of being traded to the Nets for Derrick Favors, Devin Harris and two draft picks.
