'He's just a clown': John Nogowski, Marcus Stroman exchange words, benches clear between Mets and Pirates

In the bottom of the fifth, Stroman got Nogowski to line out with a man on third to end the inning. Stroman jumped and celebrated, to which Nogowski appeared to take exception.

Marcus Stroman will be the only pitcher in major-league history to be excited about getting John Nogowski out.

This is like being excited about clipping your fingernails.

Good thing a pitching starved club didn't sign him for $10MM/year a couple of years ago when they ran out *checks roster* Luke Weaver, John Gant and Austin Gomber for 55 starts. Man. That would have been a BAD move.

Imma go cry now.

That’s not really what happened. He was happy to get out of a jam. Nogowski looks lame here and apparently he’s deaf. Stroman never talked [expletive].

Jomboy shows it.

Nogowski a bit of a clown here.

This is why MLB needs serious culture change.

I was teasing, and making a comment about Nogowski's career.

Jacob Wilson just got his first career hit after a million years in MiLB. I think some people wanted him up for some reason a bunch of years ago.

Mets claimed RHP Roel Ramirez off waivers from the Cardinals; assigned him to Triple-A Syracuse.

Ramirez has allowed a whopping nine earned runs in one career major league inning covering two relief appearances, but his minor league numbers do tell a more promising story. The 26-year-old right-hander will function as organizational relief depth for New York.
