Meanwhile, Wyoming, which has fewer people than f*****g Nashville, Tennessee, is somehow a state.

"The more support the candidate has at caucuses around the state, the better their chances are of winning Iowa". ??? The better their chances? Why wouldn't they just win if they had more support. Is there a Qwiddich like golden snitch or something a candidate can catch to wipe out the other guys lead?
I heard on TV the other day that Rock Paper Scissors can be used.
Given how stupid this entire process is starting with Iowa, the lack of viability of any candidate, I think I'm going to exercise my constitutional right to just not take part in any of this election business any more. It's total insanity.
The caucus is set up so if you have like 10 candidates if forces the people with 4% to pick a more viable candidate. Like Rand Paul supporters will have to do for example. It does not work as well when you only have 3 candidates.

So, to chronicle the ways the caucus is a steaming pile of horsecrap:
1. Gives undue influence to the state of Iowa.
2. Gives undue influence to white people. (And encourages the raving loon section of the Republican party.)
3. Fosters low voter turnout due to people having to spend a whole damn evening in some meeting room. (From what I understand 20% is a good day.)
4. Violates the principle of the secret ballot.

It's not an election, and none of these things have really been an issue.
Republicans have lost the last 2 elections, and a black man has been president for 8 years.
To some degree, I think secret ballots are b.s. anyway. If you're ashamed who you're voting for, you should probably re-think who you're voting for.

Everyone should be ashamed of who they are voting for this year.

The entire thing is a media/political creation. If people don't want Iowa to be so influential, they can just....not pay attention to Iowa like they do the other 99% of the time.
There are 10 states whiter than Iowa and New Hampshire is one of them.
The whole thing took less than 2 hours the last time I did it. But yeah, the process itself is weird. It feels more like a party meeting/event than a "vote".

What's really scary is the sudden realization Ted and his wife are like a more realistic, mid 2010's, less Hollywood attractive version of Don and Betty Draper.
