The student character he shouldn't have been dating and who subsequently came out as lesbian? I'm seeing lots of ways that wouldn't work out.

Not her character on the show. She should have been the mother. Because she's hot. Okay?

In case there was any doubt left as to whether or not Downton Abbey has jumped the shark, they cast Diddy as a series regular.

So I guess I'm watching it again.

The Office finale wasn't really all that good or funny--more like the latter lean years than the former glory years--but it was acceptable. Bizzarely Creed-centric during the emotional closing lines. Was an excellent show for a while. Outlived its usefulness. Maybe I'd prefer comedies to just not do a goodbye episode, really.

I waited until after I watched to read the piece on Grantland but you really don't have to. It's good and interesting:

i watched the finale...i thought there were some funny moments, mostly andy - i could actually see him doing something that would go viral..and the autotune really did have me crackin up...but there was also a lot of ass-kissing...and jim being dwights best man and angela saying "we wanted to stay with you guys" when they all meet back at the office, just seemed like a stretch...i realize it was a popular show and i enjoyed it up until this last season but i wish it could just be a "normal" episode, and thats more finales in general.

A couple of Shining homages in Hannibal. Hannibal is a very pretty show, in addition to being really good. Hope it gets renewed, or picked up elsewhere.
