Well, the Duck Dynasty guy made it through a duck hunt without shooting Cruz. High praise, indeed.

I won't start an abortion thread but...
If the right needed another excuse to get even angrier,
the grand jury investigating Planned Parenthood over fetal tissue sales instead indicted the activists who provided the video that spurred the investigation.
HOUSTON - A grand jury here that was investigating allegations of misconduct against Planned Parenthood has instead indicted two anti-abortion activists who made videos of the organization.
In a statement, the Harris County district attorney, Devon Anderson, said Monday that the director of the Center for Medical Progress, David Daleiden, had been indicted on a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to purchasing human organs.
Another center employee, Sandra Merritt, was indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record.

The national organization of Planned Parenthood had said in a letter to Congress that Daleiden was involved in secretly recording staff and patients at least 65 times over the last eight years.
The organization alleged that Daleiden and others used aliases, obtained fake government I.D.s, and formed a fake tissue procurement company in an effort to gain access to private areas and record private conversations to be deceptively edited to create a false impression.
The second indictment for Daleiden suggests that the grand jury found that he went too far in trying to get Planned Parenthood to admit to selling tissue. The crime, a class A misdemeanor is committed if a person intentionally offers to buy or offers to sell a human organ, including fetal tissue. If convicted, the maximum punishment is a year in jail.

I am pro second indictment - we have a right to protect ourselves.

In Ted's home state, no less. Has he used the term "judicial tyranny" yet?

Lawyer technicality alert! It can't be judicial tyranny because nothing's gone to court yet - a grand jury in Harris County (which is Houston) returned indictments against the video makers (instead of indictments against Planned Parenthood, which was the political poobah's plan).
The Harris County District Attorney is a Republican, appointed by good ol' Rick Perry (who is now on tour with Cruz!) then elected by the people. She's no dummy and no liberal. Sometimes the facts just don't fit the political narratives.

Pardon my ignorance - I thought a grand jury was part of the legal process.
Doesn't matter. Cruz will likely claim that anyway. Trump will just say the grand jury and DA are incredibly stupid.

Is it typical for grand juries to have the freedom to indict someone else? I would have assumed the job was to simply vote yes or no on one question, in this case whether or not PP did anything wrong.
