The chatter now is that it shouldn't necessarily require patches or uniform changes. It was just a super, super gross injury that I felt inspired the team to completely dominating every minute of that game thereafter. I agree that it's not really a reason to do memmorative uniform changes.

Now I'm confused....

Are people saying it was a super bad horrific injury, but wearing these shirts during warm up is too much?



IF so, I disagree. It's a warm up shirt. It was a horrible injury. I feel bad for ware and if this makes him feel a little better, good for Louisville. If it makes the players feel a little better, good for Louisville. AS a matter of fact, I can't think of any reason not to wear the shirts during warmups. It hurts....no one. Well, maybe it hurts some peoples' sense of good taste, I guess based on the reactions here, but I don't think they're trying to make fans out of non fans with the shirts, so who cares, really?

My only issue is with them selling those shirts. Give them away.

I simply think the reaction (not just by Louisville, but by the media) is pretty unusual. He's probably the 8th best player on the team, the injury (by all accounts) isn't career-threatening, he's still able to travel with the team, etc.

I think it's odd to dedicate games and try to win games to honor a guy with a broken leg. Much like "bulletin board material" that you always read about, I think it's a farce. You're either going to play better than the other team, or you're not. If you need to be motivated by a broken leg, then your coach has done a really poor job of preparing you. And again, I think we're commercializing something that doesn't really warrant being commercialized.

But whatever.......... as AW pointed out, there's really no harm in it. I just think it's silly, to some degree.

Right now, Louisville is commercializing getting their ass kicked.

Wichita St. has looked sharp so far, like they won't back down, but I'm not sure they've got the horses from here on out.
