So this was pretty hot to wake up to. I woke up to a women's voice saying the Cards acquire Holliday.

Oh and a small litte sidenote. The breaking news line on ESPN said that the Cards acquire P Holliday.

Which one is it!

Wallace just did what we drafted him to do. Become an impact player in the stl lineup. I have always doubted that the FO ever viewed him as a Cardinal because of his defensive "liabilities".

But we lose this trade if we don't win the WS or we don't sign Holliday.

Not sure about this, but I'm going to throw caution to the win and celebrate and live in the moment. Big name, impact bat, just what this team needs. DeRosa + Holliday are huge deals that make a difference to a team that imo wasn't very good and would not have survived even in a weak division. Now, WE are thee team to beat up a game in the standings with a little bit of thump in the lineup and a good rotation.

My hat is off to Mo and the entire organization for a commitment to winning.

Let's go win this [expletive]' thing.

Well guys I can't say if this is going to be a good trade, but what I can say is that the FO and MO are going for it and that's good enough for me right now.

Dealing for DeRosa and Holliday in the same summer is pretty damn good. Especially when it's the two biggest trades so far this season.
