I pump gas like this all the time at Costco, I ain't waiting an extra 10 minutes to get the pump on the correct side of the truck, the hoses reach far enough.

I'm with Wart on this one - in fact, Costco (which is where the pic was taken) has signs to tell you the hoses are long enough to do that.

Well, that explains a few things. Still, I give wide berth on the STL rodes to the joy 99 sticker cars. Almost as much as the ones in SUVs with the monogram decal that screams - yes, I am texting while driving.

Tech, Human Errors Drive Growing Death Toll In Auto Crashes
"We are in the midst of a public health crisis and it isn't Zika," says Deborah Hersman, former chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board and now president and CEO of the National Safety Council.

She breaks those numbers down, saying it's about 100 people killed on our roads a day, "the equivalent of two regional jets crashing, every day. That would be 14 plane crashes a week," she says.

"If we had 14 plane crashes a week, our hair would be on fire and no one would set foot on an airplane," Hersman adds. "Why do we accept the fatalities that occur on our roadways?"

Not really a stupid driver comment but I am pretty sure that I'll be maimed in a car accident any day now. I take my life in my own hands any time I'm in the car with Jen and she's driving. 95 on the highway texting... check. Doing 50 down Gravois in the city weaving around to pass people... check. Cussing at people and on the verge of road rage when she's in a hurry... check.

Earlier this week I saw a picture of a girl in the back seat of a car with multiple seat belts on so I sent it to her and told her that the next time I'm in the car with her and she's driving I will be wearing all the seat belts, wrapped in bubble wrap, wearing a helmet and a life jacket in case of a water landing.

why are you allowing her to do that [expletive]...she's not just putting your lives in danger

Oh, I tell her about it and she slows down but that doesn't stop her from being an insane person when I'm not in the car with her. I also drive as much as possible.

Really, I'm exaggerating for effect. She does drive aggressively but I don't fear for my life or that of anybody around. Recently I've been nearly involved in an accident more than she has and that was only one. And not because I drive fast, I've been told more than once that I drive like a grandma. I get there when I get there. The left lane was ending due to road construction and a full size truck decided to come flying up and get in front of me but then everybody in front of us slammed on their brakes and the truck had to pull back left into the closed lane to avoid plowing into the car in front of it. I ended up right about where the back of the truck bed would have been had he not been able to go left because I had plenty of space to stop in an emergency like that before he slipped in there at the last second. He was alongside the car in front.

I just tell her that I'd rather walk than ride with her because it's fun to mess with her. When she said that she's never been in an accident the first thing that flew out of my mouth was, "How many have you caused behind you?" And I laugh at her when she does the mom thing and reaches across any time she stops even somewhat quicker than normal. I'm not very smart or nice at times. I'm a 38 year old man who as of Easter was packing 300 pounds (I've lost a bunch since but not sure how much). She weighs maybe 100 pounds. I don't think her tiny arm is going to save me from anything.

I also almost replied to this with 'because I like getting laid and am not about to piss her off' but somehow I held back.

That's the same [expletive] excuse my sister pulled out when I told her I was pissed at her for driving at 80 plus to Georgia with a bald tire with my daughter in the car.

Do that with your own goddam family but not with mine.

It's [expletive].
