Dan Dakich will be at the Iowa vs Wisconsin game Saturday. That is risky.

Re: 14-15 College Basketball Thread
Future Mrs. Swirls and I went down to the Colonial Life Arena last night to catch the Tigers/Gamecocks game. Snagged lower level tickets on StubHub the day before the game for $10/each.
Watching the Wes Clark accident from less than 30 feet away was rather painful. And I think USC fans can take the cake for being loud and obnoxious. Plus we found out they don't serve beer at the arena for college games - perhaps that's why everyone was pissed off?

How often have coaches recovered from seasons like this?

This is all anecdotal and I don't mean to hold them up as examples of the huge amazing run Kim Anderson will have at Mizzou, but:lukethedrifter wrote:How often have coaches recovered from seasons like this?
-Lute Olsen's first year at Iowa: 10-16
-Mike Krzyzewski's first team at Army was 11-14, and his fifth team there was 9-17
-Rick Pitino dropped a 13-14 in his 3rd year as a coach at Boston U.
-Larry Eustachy was 15-15 in his first year at Iowa St. and 12-19 in year 4 (years 2 and 3 were top 10 finishers)
-Dean Smith's first team was 8-9, and his 3rd team was 12-12
-Norm Stewart's first team was 10-16, 7th team was 12-14, 11th and 12th teams were 14-16 and 13-15
-Nolan Richardson's first Arkansas team was 12-16
-We'll see where Frank Martin ends up at South Carolina, but his first few teams there were as bad as Mizzou this year
None of those (except Martin's squads) were anywhere near as dreadful as this Mizzou team. By virtually any measure, this is the worst Mizzou team in probably either of our lifetimes.
Really, the key is going to be returning the majority of guys next year. They can handle one or two departures from guys like Isabell, but they need the majority of TGC, Williams, Clark, Gant, and Wright to come back.

If the BigTen fines Penn St coach Pat Chambers for ranting about the refs after not doing anything to stop the Iowa Pokeyes, I'll be really mad.

21-5 Kansas has a higher RPI than 25-0 Kentucky. That's dumb.

They fined Penn St $10000.
