I still say we should run the table and hit the postseason on a hot streak.

agreed....if we run the table and don't get in then it was out of our hands

Right. We've talked about 1964, but how about 1963? The Cards went 19-1 at one point in September to pull within striking distance of the Dodgers, but lost a couple of close games to LA to end their chances. One of those losses was the famous Dick Nen homer off Bob Gibson.

If the Cardinals can be within 2 games with 6 to play, Atlanta could lose 4 of 6 to Washington and Philadelphia and the Cardinals could sweep Chicago and Houston. Still a long shot...

Show me the money, Cardinals. Show me the money.

Cardinals need another 12-4 run with Braves finishing 6-9.

So I was kind of anxious to see that the Braves played the Phillies three more times, until I realized that we play the Phillies four more times...

If the Braves go 6-6 the rest of the way, the Cardinals will have to go 12-1 (assuming they win today).

11-2 to force a tie.

which we win because we won the season series, right?

Eitherway, it looks like the Braves are starting to play good ball again.
