Do you at least get free beer at the bar?Maclowery wrote:My joint is the only bar/restaurant within ~2/3 mile of Kinnick stadium (we are a half block away). So, yeah, tomorrow morning is going to be a lot different than our usual days of leisurely serving the nearby hospital's staff on their lunch breaks. Our basement is hilariously, hilariously stuffed with several hundred cases of canned beer, which we're apparently selling for 5 bucks per 16oz'er. It's going to be a [expletive] storm. Unfortunately, we draw straws for the morning shift (since we'll make like 3x what we usually make on a busy night), and I didn't get one.
Oh, darn, I guess that means I have to scalp a ticket and go to the game!

Well, I have to work at 4, the game will be getting over at ~230. So I will not be drinking at my work
The night shift will be garbage compared to the tailgating/gametime one, but oh well. Home Saturdays are pretty much the absolute best time to live in this town. Especially once the Big 10 games start, the weather's cooled off a bit, and games are a little more interesting than *cough* Tennessee Tech.
.... Just read on ESPN that Boise State is losing a starting receiver and their safety (and a backup DT) due to their eligibility. I've been staring at that matchup for a week, wanting to change it. Thus the page 1 edit.
I wonder what my record on edited picks is; I feel like I'm probably 1-9 on them. I'll probably regret it.

I should have put it in the list- I didn't think Baylor had a chance.

Don't know what happened. Either Baylor is awesome or tcu defense is not good all of a sudden. Looks more like the former.slide_into_first wrote:I should have put it in the list- I didn't think Baylor had a chance.
Of course by good game I meant Baylor blow out earlier

Dude when it counted, they did it. Almost too easily. Love me some college football. Go big 12.

Fun first half for my Hawks. Pouring rain all through the first half. Glad I chose bar not actual stadium to enjoy a cupcake game.
