Wasn't it Jhon Torres and Connor Caple?

Kelly Paris died last month. Paris was a shortstop, who spent forever in the Cardinals farm system, eventually making the majors in 1982, after he hit 328/364/483 at Louisville that year. His fifteen minutes of fame came near the end of the season when somebody at the Sporting News complimented him on his batting line, and asked him about his chances at playing in the big leagues, and he responded "I could hit .600, and it wouldn't matter with him up there." The quote made the rounds. and then I think he was traded a year later for the dreaded A-ball reliever.

Nationals released Rosenthal.

Sign him and put him in Memphis ASAP. Velocity and stuff is still there. See if he can be fixed in a comfortable organization.

Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

He is done. It’s over.

He has mental issues. There’s no getting over them.

Don't care to do nostalgia thing with Rosenthal. I'm glad he was able to make some money that he didn't make while Cardinals were destroying his arm.

He should probably just take the money and run.

He’s essentially free on a MiLB contract. His velocity and stuff is still there and he turned 29 a month ago. It would be silly to not kick the tires on him.
