Re: Coronavirus
For the record, my hospital visit had nothing to do with my weight. It was something I was born with.
But my weight is mostly from using food as a crutch when I was young after years of abuse and PTSD. But hey, [expletive] me because I'm overweight.

I never once said that, and never assumed your need for the hospital had anything to do w/ your weight.Fat_Bulldog wrote: ↑September 22 21, 12:56 pmFor the record, my hospital visit had nothing to do with my weight. It was something I was born with.

Re: Coronavirus
The selfishness displayed by so many Americans is appalling. Just like in times of war where profiteers and smugglers can be prosecuted for working against rationing necessary to keep the war effort going, I would be in favor of prosecuting those who do not do their part to halt a deadly pandemic when it occurs.

The sense of superiority and knowing what’s best for someone else is equally as appalling IMO.Joe Shlabotnik wrote: ↑September 22 21, 1:27 pmThe selfishness displayed by so many Americans is appalling. Hope you're doing better, FB.Fat_Bulldog wrote: ↑September 22 21, 12:29 pmI had a non-COVID medical emergency last week.
Sat in the ER waiting room for nearly 4 hours in paralyzing pain waiting for a bed. They had to put me in an ER psych room because they were out of normal ER beds. Once I was stabilized (after 2.5 hours of getting worked on/trauma) they had to send me home because they didn't have normal beds. I really needed to be admitted for a day or two at least. Because of this, I had complications at home the next day and had to be rushed back to the hospital. Similar experience.
Not only were they over booked due to COVID, they were understaffed.
Get your shot!

Hope you're feeling better, amigo. This isn't how I ever imagined you'd wind up in a psych ward! Get your strength back, because I think we're all going to need to hop on the gravy train soon.Fat_Bulldog wrote: ↑September 22 21, 12:29 pmI had a non-COVID medical emergency last week.

Your message should be :
Get Healthy!!! It drastically reduces your chance of being hospitalized by COVID.
I guess people who are AT fault for not being healthy should just die or be put in death camps. Do you think I should die from COVID because I'm overweight?
And absolutely not, I feel everyone has a right to the hospital NO MATTER WHAT THEIR PERSONAL HEALTH CHOICES MIGHT BE.
I think you're wrong and I hope you'll be reached. But it must suck to be in your position, butting heads with so many in a dramatic high stakes argument. I do mean that.

It sucks at times, but I feel it’s important for people to hear a persons opinion that doesn’t agree w/ the narrative that’s out there and to understand that it’s not baseless garbage that is just pulled off social media.BottenFieldofDreams wrote: ↑September 22 21, 3:24 pmcardinalkarp wrote: ↑September 22 21, 12:42 pmBut healthy vaccinated people can do the exact same thing, once the vaccinated people succumb to the fact that they too have every ability to transmit the virus then the unvaccinated won’t be the scapegoat in all of this.Fat_Bulldog wrote: ↑September 22 21, 12:36 pmBut healthy people can still transmit COVID even if they aren't being hospitalized or don't even notice they have it.
