I knew more about Rothstein, Luciano, Lansky and Capone than I did any of the main characters before the show, but I've been reading more about the main characters since watching the show.

I don't think you had to know that Joe Masseria will live eight years past this timeline to know that he wasn't going to bite it on "Boardwalk Empire" last Sunday. Actually, I was kind of disappointed in this last episode. It seemed like everything in the show was predictable and clearly telegraphed. And I really like this show.
Apparently there are only two episodes left? We're about two months out from Warren Harding dropping dead out of nowhere. I hope they include that in this season. I want to see Harry Daugherty's face when he hears about it.

Trailer Park Boys is stupid. And amusing.
Canada has an interesting way of funding and promoting tv shows.
The episode I watched last night had a member or Rush (canadian band). I found that amusing so I wiki searched it. Turns out Bubbles is actually a guitar tech for Rush tours.

Downloaded and watched the first couple episodes of 'Cuckoo,' Andy Samberg's post-SNL BBC sitcom. Not riotously funny, but pretty funny. Samberg is great.

I am not sure how The Whitest Kids U Know remained five seasons. I watched a few remembering a funny skit by them a few years ago. The sole season they had up on net flix seemed really forgettable. There was one gross-out skit regarding a body fluid rarely depicted on TV that had me shamefully laughing hard, but I skipped almost every skit until I realized the season was over. Oh well. Netflix is drying up quickly for me.
I am LOVING that they have all the Poirot tv show. I grew up on that stuff! Only into the second season and I'll be sad when I run out of them.

I love TPB but it's definitely an acquired taste. I'm hesitant to recommend it to anyone else, lest they hate it and think less of me as a result.docellis wrote:Trailer Park Boys is stupid. And amusing.

I'm not a big fan of Rush but I like "Closer to the Heart" and this is a fantastic version.

I love me some Trailer Park Boys, and docellis's post made me laugh harder than any non-sighyoung post in recent GRB memory.
