Sharks waived Leddy, maybe we could use a vet on the bottom pair… oh wait…

Calgary traded Rasmus Anderson (50% retained) to VGK to Z Whitecloud, a prospect (former 7th round pick, don’t know much about him-which doesn’t mean much as I don’t follow non Blues prospects-heck I barely follow Blues prospects) a conditional 1st and a conditional 2nd.
Not sure what that may or may not mean for Faulk, who is older, has a higher salary, and is a legit 2nd pairing RD but I think Anderson is easily better. Anderson’s deal is expiring whereas Faulk has another year.
I don’t know. It has me a bit concerned about the potential return for Faulk, but we will see.
Oh also we are getting spanked by Edm

Nucks trade Sherwood for a couple 2nds and a depth player. That makes me think a 1st for Schenn is off the table unless we add or it’s JUST a 1st.

A 1st for Schenn seems incredibly optimistic. I'd honestly be surprised if we got more than a single 2nd, if not retaining any salary.

Man, I knew Hofer was outplaying Binner lately, but he's been amazing: 6-2-0 with a 2.00 GAA, .932 SV% and 2 shutouts since Dec 17.

Tonight's lineup: Sounds like Sundqvist is out with a deep cut above his ankle. Holloway out "as the manage his comeback from ankle injury". Berggren and Fabbri in.

Yeah, after a horrific start, he’s looking like a very solid #1 or #1A. It will be fun to see if he can keep it up!
I love Binner because of 2019, and I had hopes he could snag 250+ wins in a Blues uni (because its laughable how low the franchise wins # is), but if Hofer continues to grow into the roll, Binner may see himself looking elsewhere for his next deal if he isn’t okay with being a 1B.

I think you’re right. I hadn’t looked at his stats lately and woof. Teams love playoff intangibles and all that, so I think if DA holds out he can still probably extract a 2nd and an okay prospect coming back at TDL. (I think we’ve seen 3rd liners go for that lately if memory serves) If you can’t get that or more then it’s probably more worth it to keep him. You do need vets in the locker room, even if he’s looking more like a bottom 6 winger as time marches on.
Blues lose to the Jets yesterday. We are all alone in 3rd (from last) place. Sell and tank.

I will be there tonight. Wear brown bag over my head or not?

Semi-transparent bag for most of the game, in case anything good happens. Full black-out bag if it reaches OT.

Forgot to extend the black-out bag into the final 1:30 of the third period too. Only bad things happen to this team in that timeframe.
