Just sayin'
They're 5.5 games back of the 2nd wild card with 9 games to go, they're not in the playoff hunt.
You forgot to add the winking emoji.

Tommy Pham has a 179 wRC+ and 1.6 WAR through 29 games with the Rays and has three more seasons of team control. That trade still mystifies me. Do you think that was one of those trades where other GMs saw it and were like "What, he was available?!"

I doubt many teams out there were unaware that Pham and the Cardinals didn't exactly see eye to eye

I imagine it was a function of a couple things -- Pham is already 30 years old, and he has his eye problem that is, at the very least, a yellow flag. Pham has suggested it shouldn't be much of a problem for him anymore at all, but it's still something that's going to make more than a few executives hesitate
It’s too early to judge the prospects received in that trade. We will see in a couple of seasons how they turn out. That said, Pham would look pretty good in right field now. If he stayed the Cardinals should have made the in-season move of switching him and Bader. They were hesitant to do that last season, choosing instead to let Dexter Fowler struggle in center when Pham would have been better there. Pham has bounced back incredibly well in Tampa. No one should write him off. Ever. If he’s healthy, he’s dangerous.

Do you think the Cardinals sold low on Pham? If you're gonna trade him, fine, but talk about dumping a player when he was down.

Magnerius Sierra is hitting .172 .198 .189 .387 through 129 PA. His OPS+ is 12.

did you know, we are 84-69 since getting rid of him, and 1.5 games up in the WC hunt?
