Re: The Video Game Thread
So Turn10 gave their long time customers a big middle finger yesterday. No weather, no day/night cycle, no auction house, no storefront, and oh yeah no Porshce. It seems they are pulling the same BS they did with FM 4 where they will not include Porsche in the launch but it will be dlc in six months for like $30. They have been pushing away their hard core fanbase for the last couple games now, in fact at least half of my friends didn't even get FM4, but I think they have just about killed off the die hards for FM5 at this point. I'd be shocked if more then two or three of my friends get the game. These are not gamers keep in mind but just Forza fans so these people will not be getting the XB1. I'm probably in that group at this point unless they have some serious good news up their sleeve but I gotta think they've announced all the real new innovative stuff by now.

I am not as much into racing games as I used to be. Why Forza over Gran Turismo?

I certainly started with Gran Turismo, I think everyone did, but as the years went on the game just stayed the same. The tuning and customization options are very unrealistic and the game just doesn't drive that well. Not to mention the nearly six or seven year gap between GT4 and GT5. For me I made the switch when Forza 2 came out for the 360. It was the reason I bought a 360. As the series has gone on for the most part it has improved in a lot of ways. The community aspect is amazing with there being a place for everyone, the tuners, the painters, the racers, etc. Gran Turismo has never had that.JackofDiamonds wrote:I am not as much into racing games as I used to be. I'm sure FM5 will be great, sell well, etc, but they have kind of gone the way of Gran Turismo. They are trying to fix things that aren't broken. It's too bad. My group of 30 or so racer friends hold a regular Wednesday night series and have since Forza 2. It looks like that may come to an end with a lot of guys eye Project Cars as the next big thing.

lol my comment about pebbles was removed. i guess we can't have opinions. oh well
im assuming this is an accurate picture of a tweet

not that people here do shifty things that might warrant a ban but it seems to say you'll never truly *own* an xbox1 game...just the license.

it is/was an opinion. i fail to see how its not. i guess i could have said disliked but that wouldn't fully express what i feel. i really don't care how you question everything i write as not meaning what i type/post.ghostrunner wrote:Opinion? This was debunked by major nelson. Xbox support is an awful place for information.
