Sony won. 399 and no crappy drm.
Too bad they are charging for multiplayer. Still, they won.

Re: The Video Game Thread
Sony will definitely do better at launch but they both might end up being flops. Sounds like a lot of gamers are taking the wait and see approach and releasing GTA V right before can't help either. I assume GTA won't be on the next gen.

The whole Sony press conference was a big middle finger to MS. Kind of interesting and no doubt Sony will steal some customers.

MS brought it all on themselves. It's a shame too because I think MS showed better exclusive games tonight.IMADreamer wrote:The whole Sony press conference was a big middle finger to MS. Kind of interesting and no doubt Sony will steal some customers.
What's really unbelievable is Sony's console is roughly 50% more powerful than XB1. Plus, there are rumors MS might have to drop the clock speed even more due to heating issues.

Oh geez. I hadn't heard that. It was a pretty rough day for MS over all. yeah they showed some good games but at least the initial reaction has not been great.Michael wrote:MS brought it all on themselves. It's incredible how much Microsoft has botched things this time around. Third console curse is real, I guess. Saturn/N64/PS3 and now XBone.

Man, all this console gaming drama is heavy! Hang on, going back to gaming on my corvette of a PC that I can upgrade as I please.
I know GRB is heavily populated by console gamers - but there has to be one or two of you others out there who prefer arguing nVidia vs AMD instead of M$ vs Sony?
I was angry at how fast I filled my 128gb SSD which I use solely for my OS and one game at a time. Honestly I hardly notice a difference gaming compared to my fast physical HD's (after installing on my SSD vs a high-rpm hard disk). I should just keep my 128 solely for Win7, and install everything else on my fastest Hard drive. That didn't stop DrunkMaclowery from ordering a 512mb off Newegg last week. Should be here tomorrow. Now I will for the first time have five separate directly connected drives, plus my external backup and cloud storage. My 18 year old self wouldn't even be able to comprehend my nerd level these days.
