That was an insanely intense Mad Men episode last night.

Until that OTHER thing happened, I fully expected "Puking Layne Price" to become an annoying meme.

they got rid of the hottest actress on the show.
ghost edit - spoilered since we know your opinion on that
But she got what she deserved.

Locking her and the "King of Qarth" in the empty vault was a nice play. Took all season, but Dany finally has some power. Robb's move was poor. Arya, should have defineltly gone w/ Jaqar or whatever his awesome name. And what an awesome ending w/ the Walker lining up to attack the wall!

Took me a second to realize who he meant. She got hers, that's for sure.

All-in-all I was underwhelmed by the episode, but I also can appreciate having the 'climax' of the season in Episode 9 and following it with an exposition episode to set up season 3 so we have fewer cliff hangers.

Robb was rash, but is Fray that scary?

Fray looked old and frail, but he also looked psychotic. So, I'd be a little worried.

The Twins is in a formidable defensive position and Frey has like 83 children and grandchildren. You don't wanna make an enemy out of a friend if you don't have too.

Plus he's in a world that is apparently swarming with babes and he's putting his life at risk for a girl who's pretty cute.

Everybody acts like Ned Stark was the best guy ever, but he saddled all of his kids with some weird baggage and slavish, self-destructive standards of honor and morality. All the Starks need to lighten up.

You don't have to have read the books to figure out that marrying for love when you're a king in the middle of a war is a bad idea. And the Stark/Lannister deal is inspired by the Wars of the Roses between York and Lancaster. Edward IV of Lancaster went off and married a commoner

because she was sexy, and wound up getting overthrown and having to flee for France. But in his case he overthrew the dude who overthrew him, who he had previously overthrown. (Ah, history.)

The best guy ever, in comparison to everyone else in the world.
