Yeah, the wife bought a four-pack of the Ommegang/Urban Chestnut 2016 collaboration. She drank them all the afternoon she bought it, so I never had a chance to try one.

She said they were really good, though.

Indeed she is. We have somewhat different tastes in beer though. She loves sours and saisons, but I hate them. She hates porters and stouts, but I love them. Luckily we both love Belgians but hate pale ales and IPAs.

Sadly, it's the opposite- I'm not sure they have any that are available year-round. But I'm pretty sure they always have one of their seasonal stouts on tap. Their year-round options are fairly limited. There's a Pils, a Cream Ale, a Bock, an IPA, and a Belgian Singel.

Their biggest seller is the Gingerbread Stout, which comes out in early December. The reaction to that one is very similar to the reaction to Perennial's Abraxas. It comes out and then it's sold out within a week. They do a bourbon barrel Gingerbread Stout; this year, they're doing a rum barrel GBS; what they call Christmas Morning, which is a coffee variant of the GBS; and Kentucky Christmas morning, which is bourbon barrel aged Christmas Morning.

They release the Sidamo Coffee Stout in late winter/early spring, and the Raspberry Coffee Stout seems to be easy enough to find for most (but not all) of the year. Their fall seasonal is a Farmhouse Pumpkin, which is much more subdued than most pumpkins you find this time of year.

Of their year-round stuff, both the Pils and the Cream Ale are highly drinkable and smooth.

Mmm. Sounds like Sam Adams' Merry Maker Gingerbread Stout. I love that one.
