Had a bottle of Unibroue La Fin Du Monde last night. Not my favorite Belgian style, but still really really good.

WHAT?? Unibrow makes great beers and FDM is one of the best.

All the foreign beers selections look the same on the shelf, but I remembered unibrow from this post. Delicious.

Weird, I used to dislike Belgian Ales and Abbey and all that skunk funk. Don't know if it is more of my taste changing or selective luck with finding some good ones

If you can find it in St. Louis, try Ommegang's "Old Abbey Ale." It's really good - actually if you like Belgian styles, pretty much everything Ommegang makes is really really good. Plus they're based in Cooperstown. #winning

Those are some of my favorites from Ommegang that are available year round. They also do the HBO licensed special limited release annual beers for each new season of Game of Thrones. Rare Vos is probably my all around favorite beer that they make.

Geddy snooping for good beers since he probably gets a free one from me. Craft Beer Cellar also has Ommegang and we can drink it there.

Grabbed a 4=pack of Abbey Ales on the way home from work on Friday thanks to the recommendation here.

Not disappointed. Definitely one of my favorite recent tries.

Mrs. Swirls stopped by Total Wine yesterday while I was at work and brought home a bomber that tastes very similar to Clown Shoes Luchador en Fuego. Bent Brewstillery (local here in the Cities out of Roseville, MN) makes "Ol' Guerrero," a barrel aged Chilean double stout. Like Clown Shoes, this one packs a kick. 10.1% ABV.

Both are really really good. And since you're into the Mexican chocolate type stuff with a hint of spiciness, if you can find this one up in your neck of the woods I think you'll really like it. I'm not sure how wide Bent Brewstillery's distribution network is though...

Claymore -Great Divide -Scotch Ale - sucker for sweet beer
Collaboration 2016- Dopplebock - Ommegang and UCBC deal, real good.
Oak Aged, original and Dark ales-Innis and Gunn (Scottish brewer doing some aged moderate abv drinkable beers. )
Abbey Ale- Brother Thelonius.

Yeah, the wife bought a four-pack of the Ommegang/Urban Chestnut 2016 collaboration. She drank them all the afternoon she bought it, so I never had a chance to try one.

She said they were really good, though.
