Same for me. Now I almost always fly SW for personal travel. Also, SW vacations offers some of the best flight+hotel package deals on the web.TimeForGuinness wrote: I used to make fun of Southwest, calling them the Walmart of airlines. And while that part is true, Southwest is almost always on time (in my experience), they have excellent customer service, their fares are excellent, and they fly almost everywhere now. I really can't complain about them anymore. If I'm on a longer flight (> 3 hours), I'll try to fly Alaskan or Delta, just for comfort...but Southwest is my go to when flying these days.
United Airlines, I hate you deeply.

Second that on SW. It is a school bus in the air, but can't beat customer service.

I love Southwest. I generally can't afford the other airlines anyway, but I know exactly what I'm getting.

I flew back from Hawaii on UA in 2000. The flight was overbooked and before boarding began, they started offering everyone vouchers and free accommodations for the night. IIRC (I was 13), they raised it up to $400 per person before they got the flight down to capacity.

But the CEO is praising the workforce so its all good.MrCrowesGarden wrote:
To think this is all because they insisted on removing 4 people from a plane already loaded so 4 of their employees can travel less than 300 miles. Amazing. They could have limoed them or used a private plane or anything else.
F*ck them.
