Of course not, I just ran into that ratings and thought it was post worthy. The show moved slowly this season, no doubt about it, but it also doubled in popularity. It's here to stay.JL21 wrote:A lot of people watching a show doesn't mean it's a good show, or well-executed.Fat Strat wrote:Not very many people agree with you:I think the show might have wasted too much time to recover

He just said people disagreed, which is evident because millions of people think it's good.JL21 wrote:A lot of people watching a show doesn't mean it's a good show, or well-executed.Fat Strat wrote:Not very many people agree with you:I think the show might have wasted too much time to recover

Millions of people eat haggis. You do injustice to the concept of thinking by saying that the masses "think" something is good because they watch/eat/listen to it.

I was merely backing up fat's assertion that lots of people disagree with Geen's thoughts. I never said anything about an objective view of the show's quality. Or even my own subjective thoughts on it's quality. I like many things without thinking they are particularly "good."cpebbles wrote:Millions of people eat haggis. im not buying the haggis and popularity theory. we are talking about a fictional drama about zombies on a cable network...it brings in huge numbers, a huge audience. whether or not its "good" is subjective of course but clearly it has people watching.

I was just making a throwaway quip about the masses, but seriously?
American Idol, The Voice, NCIS, CSI, and Criminal Minds? I'd say that ratings are not much of a retort to aesthetic criticism of a TV show.

I love Walking Dead. But because it is a "Zombie" show, you kind of have to completely suspend disbelief anyway.
