I thought maybe you had too much bourbon for breakfast.

If I'd been drinking I would have clocked him.

On the opposite end of the spectrum from Luke...

My parents are moving from Omaha to Louisiana. Spent a couple nights in KC before starting on their final journey this afternoon.

I've never lived more than three hours away from my folks before. I'm really happy for them, they're both originally from the area and will get to spend more time with family that they haven't done in nearly 30 years... but I think this is going to be a tough transition for me.

I was stopped at a red light this morning on the way to work, and watched in my rearview as a woman took out a pipe and smoked a bowl right there in her car.

On the one hand - you're brave, lady. There are red light cameras here. Big brother is watching.
On the other: I have my son in the back seat, and now your high ass is riding my tail for the next few miles. [expletive] you . Smoke what you wanna smoke at home.

At our thanksgiving get together a lady showed up that is some kind of entertainer in Branson. Every thirty minutes or so she just busts out singing and all the 70 and up crowd tries to sing too and none of them know the words. This is the most awkward thing I've ever witnessed. I'm almost wishing we could talk politics instead.

Watching another football player toss the ball away before coasting across the goal line- there must be something with mental perception while moving. Your body is behind where you think it is.

I do a bunch of running races, and instinctively turn off my watch after what I think is past the finish. Then when they have these finish line photos, it shows me looking down turning off the watch before the finish like a neurotic goof. Now I try to conciously move past the line a bit so to not look like a goof in the photo, and even still I am right there near the line.

Same thing in baseball and bad baserunning. So many don't run thru 1st, even though they think they are.

Now that my grandfather is gone people from my grandma's side of the family are now Thanksgiving regulars the past two years. My grandpa didn't care for one of them, my grandma's cousin, and let it be known so they always did their own thing. I have to side with grandpa. She runs a ministry (along the lines of Benny Hinn who she's BFFs with) and grandpa always said it is a scam and she's one of those 'healer' nutcases. I wanted to just walk out when she gave this long drawn out sermon/prayer before the meal and then proceeded to lead everybody in song. Look woman, I just came here to eat!!! At least I only have to deal with these people a couple of hours a year on Thanksgiving.

I've spent $500 today and just realized I still have barely any Christmas shopping done.
