Atlanta is not losing final game. Hamels will pitch only 2 or 3 innings tops and they will pull all their starters after 6 innings. And Huddy is pitching for Braves. Our fate will be determined tonight..

My prediction:
Braves lose tonight, Cards Win tonight - tied.
Braves win tomorrow, Cards have 5 run lead in the 9th and blow it.

Given the way the season has played out, that sounds about right.

The only thing that would be more excrutiating would be the same results tonight followed by both teams losing tomorrow. Then the Cardinals would blow a 5 run lead in the 9th in the playoff game.

We'll blow the 5 run lead in the 23rd. Albert will destroy his elbow pitching, and his career will be over after one spring training swing next year, after he signs a 13 year, $390 million deal with the Cards. In 14 years, he will sign a one day, $5million contract with the cubs, pinch hit, one armed, in one game, and enter the HOF wearing their hat.

I hope that happens just for the sheer awesomeness of that entire scenario.

I wonder if anything like that has ever happened.

Derek Goold just tweeted the Phillies are starting Joe Blanton tomorrow night. Ugh.

I don't know how good Philly's bullpen is, but I'd probably rather have a full start from Blanton than two innings from Hamels
