That's about as simplistic of an analysis as it gets. I don't think Obama's speech was anything to get all worked up about, but even the conservative commentators I saw on TV were praising the way he went into specifics in his speech.BW23 wrote:Well, when he finally does say what he'll do, if he ever does, then you're right. I won't like it. Probably not a word.clement wrote:For you. Not for me. I couldn't care less how great an orator he or any other politician is, I care about his positions on issues. Of course I want the president to be able to pronounce the words he is saying and be able to speak intelligently on issues without relying on cue cards, but aside from that relatively low hurdle, it's what they say that counts, not how.BW23 wrote:I think it's pretty clear. You can talk well without saying a word. Go back to last Thursday if you need a reference. It's certainly how he says it...not what he says.
Obamamania is running wild because of what a great orator he is not because of his positions.
Just curious, what is exactly the reason for the Palin-mania that's running wild?
