First love the pick of Robert Quinn as he is a great fit for our 4-3. Thank you 49ers. But anyways if I wanted only to say that I would have posted in the 2011 Draft topic. My question instead of trying to draft a backup running back, should we be taking a hard look at Reggie Bush now that it seems he is on the way out at NO?

Reggie Bush is a little primadonna [expletive]. No thank you.

I'm glad you aren't in charge of personnel for the Rams.

I imagine there will be a plethora of suitors for Reggie Bush. I still think the Rams' priority should be to look for some WR help. If nothing else, they really should re-sign Mark Clayton; he and Bradford had a really good thing going before the knee injury.

The Rams just drafted 17 receivers. I hope they are looking for FA help in other areas.

I think Rams priorities are guard, safety, 3rd down back and OLB in that order. Bell's been disappointing and Goldberg is awful, so this is the first place to go, I would think. Hines, the safety we drafted in the 5th round, seems like a poor man's James Butler; he might get a shot, but I still think the team will look to improve. Devaney said we'd come out of the draft with a backup to Jackson, but we didn't. Jerious Norwood would seem an obvious candidate. The Falcons used the pick we traded to them in the 5th to draft Jacquizz Rogers, a change of pace back from Turner. It would be nice to improve OLB, but the 7th rounder we got (Jabara Williams) seems like a good player from a small school.

I agree with you for the most part, but I don't think safety is a huge need. Nelson seems like a decent player and I think they'll want to give Stewart a chance to start. Bell played better last year than he had in previous years, but Goldberg needs to be replaced at starter(he's a good backup, but he shouldn't be your starting guard every week). Devaney might want to give Greco a chance to start. I really like the Williams pick.

As for RB, I want to see Devaney go after an UDFA.

We can get a decent backup RB under free agency for a 2/4 years then draft a young RB high when Steven Jackson starts declining. No sense spending a draft pick on a position when you'll want to redraft for a top-tier RB in a few years.

I wouldn't at all mind having a second starting-quality RB though. Especially for a team on the rise whose season would essentially be over the instant Jackson suffers an injury that keeps him out more than a couple of games. I say bring on Bush if you can get it done.
