We usually have light beers in the locker room after a game, and I'm partial to Labatt Blue Light and Molson Canadian Light... but that's probably because Canadian beers feel so right after hockey.

Never had it.

Guinness is also really light in calories, but has 10 carbs.

Just drink spirits instead.

Try the Ayinger Celebrator doppelbock. It's [expletive] fantastic. And you get little plastic goat figurines with each bottle.
Great beer. I haven't found a bad Ayinger beer yet. This beer makes me happy

What light beer should I drink?

The calories and also the carbs.
If you are drinking 1 or 2 beers, Bud Light. If you are drinking N beers where N > 2, then try drinking floor(N * .8) non light beers. So 3 beers = 2, 4 = 3, 6 = 4, etc...

Guiness Draught is the best light beer. Low in calories and carbs. And the CO2 helps makeit delicious.

I don't like really heavy beers - once in a while in the winter I'll drink something like Leffe Blond for desert. But mainly I like just the mid range beers that are reasonably low in calories. Bud, Pabst, etc... I don't know how those stack up to the craft beers but I'm guessing they are lower than even something like Sam Adams BL. The light beers are just a bit too light for me.

It's about my Diabetes, Type I. Drinking alcohol with carbs drives up my blood sugars initially and then later brings them crashing down. I don't need that kind of fluctuation. So I'm exploring other options. I really don't drink that often--maybe 2-3 times a month, and I can drink Bud/Coors Light and enjoy the effect, but never the beer itself.

I think this Guiness Draught, mid-range line of thinking might be a good pursuit for me.

I just don't care too much for spirits. They either make my evenings too short or too long, if that makes sense.

Extremely good.
I have only recently tried this. Thusly, I am echoing this sentiment.

That's a whole other deal there. I've never had Guiness out of a can before, but I like it out of a tap.
