It was good to see Rolen and Edmonds playing well.

This series is already better than 2004's.

89 pitches with ease does not need resting, he'd shut down the Tigers for seven straight. No reason not to let him pitch.

I used to like Jeannie Zelasko. I've changed my mind.

Offense broke out in the first game.

My only nitpick is sending Reyes out there for the ninth (I went on record in the game thread before the inning, so this isn't hindsight talking).

Otherwise, outstanding all-around effort to give the Cards the early momentum.
This is the new TLR (half-joking). If something is working, why f$%@ with it?

that was big for me, as well.

This lineup was the one we all hoped for at the beginning of the year, with the bonus addition of Duncan. If the core can keep hitting like this, we may just win this thing!

already making some excuses for the Tigers being off too long on the Fox post game show, though Byrnes kinda dismissed it.

Get ready to hear that for the next 21 hours.

the one guy did say or maybe they were outmatched by the pitching of Anthony Reyes. Gasp! You think???

Keeping him in in a blowout wasn't a bad idea. A close game would have been risky.

Give Larussa credit for throwing a guy who had good stuff against a team that sat for awhile. And give credit to Dunc for getting rid of the change up early. We all knew he had a future as a #2 or a great #3, wll he proved to be a good pitcher tonight, just not a thrower. BTW, he is 25 Verlander is 23.
