I haven't posted as much recently, so I'm kind of out of the loop. What's the reasoning behind this? A fight in the politics thread? I get a feeling it's more than that, though. Well, whatever it is, I'll miss lurking in the game threads, but I'm sure I'll find other places with like-minded fans.
I hate to say it but these political threads sent this place in areas it was never intended to go, and it began to foster hate instead of what this place was created for...the love of Cardinal baseball.
R.I.P. GRB, you will be greatly missed.
Edit:
and could someone please post the.gif of the fat kid looking like he could be having a temper tantrum, because that's what I feel like right now
Thanks for everything Michael and mods. Hate to see this place go. It truly is the best place that I know of to get in depth and informed cardinals (and, really, any baseball) information.
Don't know where I'll go now...guess I'll just be a dummy like everyone else.
Omaha, please create one of your amazing works of art depicting the demise of GRB.....it could be your final gift to the man who created the logo itself.
P.S. - Congrats on the blossoming career you have going....and thank you again for those drawings you made for my step-father for his b-day remaining hanging in his office and something he really cherishes
Thank you all so much for this wonderful community you've created. I'm sort of disturbingly bummed about this; GRB was the first and last internet stop of each day for me for the last however many years.
I was in attendance for a lot of great Cardinals moments (Game 6 notably) and I followed the game threads from the stadium every time.
Thank you from the bottom of a diehard lurker's heart.
This is all kinds of unfortunate if this is all about the social / politics forum. Just kill that off and leave baseball talk. Let people find another site for their political venting.
Sorry Michael - it's certainly your right / option to do this, but this is terrible news.
What a punch to the stomach. GRB has been such a big part of my life over the last 8 and a half years. I will really, really miss it. Thanks Michael for those 8 and a half years. It's been so much fun.
We all should have seen the writing on the wall when we heard Michael started having works of art commissioned for his home. This guy has hit the big time dammitt!!
