What else is he going to do, tour American soccer stadiums? That would be a waste of a summer.

I know moving start times is annoying, but I have to admit that this is great to read as a) my schedule app still has it down as an afternoon game, so I've avoided showing up 5 hours early and b) it gives another 5 hours to get there...

I'm in Chickamauga at the moment and appreciate the offer but not heading via Huntsville. As for the route, I'm following Google maps by seqrching for directions, with highways removed, and following them. I haven't got a map as such, but think I'm headed to the west of Nashville.

I'm pretty sorted for getting to the game etc, but mainly still just want someone to go to the game with.


As for your other question, at the moment it's at 6,200 miles - whole thing should be about 11,000 I think.

Back in April 2008 I left my home in the UK on a trip where I was trying to cycle to south-east Asia. When I got there I had some money left over and was also offered work in the States so came over here, then kind of carried on cycling and it ended up being 4 years before I went home, so I've always enjoyed being on the bike.

As for this trip, I went home for a year and got accepted onto a teacher training course which starts in September which left me 5 months free. I know a lot of people out here, I like sports (I don't know if any of you follow English football but I'm a QPR season ticket holder, so have always gone to sports, but this season was not a difficult one to leave behind) and as when I go home it's time to grow up, I came out here for one last adventure. So far it's been fun....

As for baseball, I started watching during the McGwire- Sosa '98 run chase and we get games on late night tv at home, so just went from there!

I'd better get back on the road for today, but if anyone's out there who's going Sunday please let me know!

back in 88 I road Nashville to StL. Took the route up through the Land Between the Lakes. Pretty ride.

Stop in at 17th St Bar in Murphysboro, IL for some ribs if you are that way. Beer? Scratch Brewery in Ava, will be open.
