Anyone else trying out the free League Pass broadband preview? If so, is yours as choppy as mine? It starts out fine for the first 15-20 seconds and then I might as well just have a radio.

Well, thank god we're not discussing every game. If the most freakish athletic specimen on the face of the earth can't play an extra few minutes in the very first game of the season then I don't know what to say.

Lebron was out of the game from the 9:07 mark to the 7:22 mark in the 4th quarter. He left the game for a minute and a half, and played the last 7 and a half minutes of the game. I do not see the issue here. The coach gave him a minute and a half breather so he would be rested for the final stretch of the game. There is no story here.

Awesome. Lebron's new team couldn't beat Boston, but his old team (Cleveland) beat Boston tonight.

I kind of hate Nike's LeBron restoration commercial. I think he/they should have poked fun at 'The Decision,' but I didn't do millions of dollars of market research. If he wants people buy his sneakers and everything else he'd love to sell, I think the best angle would be to humble himself now.

Perhaps they are just starting with having him say 'me' a couple dozen times rather than 'LeBron.'

Hornets 1-0 and tied for the lead in the Western Conference!!!

Ok, now that I've got that out of the way, it sounded like a good game though they have plenty to work on. Bench is finally not giving up the lead... but they're doing their best to make it so. I wouldn't be surprised if Belinelli gets some time with the 2nd unit. He's a worthy starter, but he can create his own shot and make plays for others.

Anybody watch much of Evan Turner preseason? Whispers are starting to turn into full-on groaning that he sucks.
I fully expected Pat Riley to stab his coach in the back and take over (like he did last time they had a good roster) all along.

Turner sucking so far surprises me. I never really liked him all that much, but he was pretty dominant at times in college. It would make sense for his game to fall off some against bigger and better opponents, but from what I've read he's looked terrible.

As for the rest, there's no way the Nuggets don't trade Melo before the deadline. I'm not going to predict the whole league, but I think the Thunder are for real and could challenge for the West, especially if they can pull off a trade or two later. I think the West comes down to them and the Lakers and whoever wins that wins the championship. Miami will be good once they jell a little but I think they are a year away from winning it.

For several years now I've followed favorite players instead of any particular team. Wade, Lebron and Durant are my three favorites right now. I'll also tune in for sure to watch Derrick Rose and John Wall. I think Wall will be really, really good. He's stuck on a dumb roster right now but I see him still having a big impact.

Sacramento could be fun to watch if both Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins care and don't go crazy. I'm also looking forward to watching Blake Griffin. He was incredible in college.

Blake Griffin just finished off a hell of an alley-oop.

Wow. These fouls for complaining are getting tiresome. If they call them fairly (they don't call anything fairly) Kobe (especially for him) is going lay waste to Sheed's technical record.

Griffin looks great.

It was nice to see George Karl come back to the bench after his cancer treatments. And watch the ovation he received. And see the Nuggets beat the Jazz, 110-88.
