But he's winning them back by doing things like siding with the Democrats in opposing Bush's tax cuts then turning around and making them a big part of his campaign and pushing to make them permanent.
Plus, Barack Obama is really hard to dislike. He's young, good looking, in good shape, extremely articulate, very intelligent, and he doesn't equivocate very much. It'll take more than the occasional mis-speak or overly candid moment to really hurt him.
You're underestimating Republicans, Geen! TDS had a clip last night of some guy who said that people can't connect to Obama because he's not the type of guy who would fit in comfortably at an "Applebee's salad bar." His intelligence and articulation will be used against him because Americans are supposed to want a President who gives us straight talk!
