I don't think I understood what the author of the e-mail was even upset about. Some members were going to other frats instead of their own sorority? She was pissed off because some girls were being wallflowers at parties?

But then again, I haven't the first clue about sorority/frat culture.

Sororities and fraternities have philanthropy weeks where they are paired up to compete against the other pairs in contests. Not always one you are on friendly terms with. The entire gist of the email was a really long winded way of saying not enough girls in her house were sleeping with guys from the fraternity they were matched with that week, and in that world it is considered poor form.

Speaking as someone that has participated in the male half of this equation, that is not what she's saying, nor is that even what she's implying in her hilarious and insane e-mail. You have several athletic events wear you are teamed up and mixers with the two houses, and she's telling a group of girls to stop being awkward weirdos. Essentially: "If you aren't coming to have fun, don't come to the party and ruin it for the rest of us. Also, stop cheering for the OTHER TEAM while we're playing. [expletive] Punt."

If anything, you'd be more likely to see a "STOP SLEEPING WITH EVERYONE YOU MEET AT THESE PARTIES YOU'RE MAKING US ALL LOOK BAD" than a "please sleep with someone, you're making us all look bad" e-mail.

Well you're seeming to refute my original impression of the email which I stand by. Everything in that email is code for "we aren't partying and hooking up with enough of these guys and they're mad about it."
