Anyone playing Black Ops on the PS3? I've heard there are connection issues...but I'm looking to pick up the game this weekend.

for those who may be interested, amazon has a really nice ps3 deal going right now. Buy the ps3 at $298 and get a $100 amazon credit. If you use amazon frequently (as I do) that ends up being $200 for the ps3.

I'm using the deal to replace my launch fat ps3 that I'm afraid is a ticking time bomb. After selling it I should break even on the deal.

Anyone tried Kinect? I picked up Adventures and Sports for myself and Dance Central for my wife (okay, secretly I want to play it too). So far I've only tried Adventures which is surprisingly fun. There's a little lag and jankiness but for the most part it works really well. I like it a lot more than I was expecting. I bet it's a hoot in party situations.

The same deal is available at Walmart with a $100 Walmart gift card.clevername wrote:for those who may be interested, amazon has a really nice ps3 deal going right now. Buy the ps3 at $298 and get a $100 amazon credit. If you use amazon frequently (as I do) that ends up being $200 for the ps3.

Re: The Video Game Thread
yeah, I just don't use Walmart as much and they charge tax.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is excellent. I thought it was going to be a side story with multiplayer, but it's a full on Assassin's Creed game with critical overall story elements packed in. The single player isn't quite as long as Assassin's Creed 2 but just it's even more robust with more gameplay elements added in (you get to train your own assassin squads!). Definitely pick it up if you're into the series.
I have Kinect and enjoy it. I'm impressed by how well it picks up my movements and translates them onto the screen and I like it much more than having to hold a wand controller to do it. There aren't any real full games I've played with it so far, more like fun tech demos. I have high hopes for the future of it, but it will be up to the developers to make good games for it. If it catches on sales wise (and it looks like it is) it's going to be big part of Microsoft gaming in the future in conjunction with a physical controller (think voice commands and hand movements for FPS/tactical shooters) in addition to just the party/motion games.

I'm digging Black Ops...but I prefer Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The destructible environment in BF:BC2 is just wicked.
